The Two Wolves: The Story That Helped Save My Life

There’s a story about two wolves that has stayed with me for years.

I didn't just read it and move on. There was a time in my life when I was carrying so much anger, shame and resentment, and addiction had taken me to places I never wanted to be.

This little story was a big part of saving my life.

“The one you feed.”

For me, it wasn't about pretending the painful feelings didn't exist. They were real. It was about learning that I could stop letting them make every decision for me. I could ask for help, be honest, show a bit of compassion and try to do one thing differently.

It didn't happen overnight. Recovery took time, people who believed in me, and a lot of work. But those words stayed with me.

I'm sharing this because someone else might need to hear it today.
